Ensuring a healthy pregnancy is an important responsibility for couples in maintaining the health of future children. Data from the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey shows that pregnancy risk factors among women aged 10–54 years in Central Java reached 27.8%, which is higher than the national average of 15.6%. Knowledge about pregnancy preparation—such as adequate nutritional intake, medical consultations, and pregnancy planning—is essential for reducing these risks. Education and age are considered important factors that may influence the level of knowledge among reproductive-age couples. This study aimed to determine the relationship between education level and age with the knowledge of reproductive-age couples (PUS) regarding pregnancy preparation in Tuksongo Village, Borobudur. This study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 66 couples of reproductive age (132 respondents) selected using total sampling in Tuksongo Village, Borobudur. Data were collected using a true–false questionnaire containing 26 statements that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using Fisher’s Exact test. The majority of respondents had secondary education (53% of males and 56.1% of females) and were aged 20–25 years (66.7% of males and 87.9% of females). Most respondents demonstrated good knowledge regarding pregnancy preparation (84.8% of males and 89.4% of females). The analysis showed a significant relationship between education level and knowledge of pregnancy preparation among reproductive-age couples (p = 0.002; p < 0.05). However, age was not significantly associated with knowledge (p = 0.537; p > 0.05). Education is significantly associated with knowledge regarding pregnancy preparation among reproductive-age couples, while age does not show a significant relationship. Strengthening educational exposure may improve awareness and knowledge related to healthy pregnancy preparation.
Heny KristantyEka Vicky YulivantinaSiti Fadhilah

Teenagers in Indonesia generally start dating for the first time during their teenage years. As many as 33.3% of teenage girls enter into their first relationship between the ages of 15-17, while 34.5% of teenage boys begin dating before reaching the age of 15. Dating activities among teenagers aged 15-24 include holding hands (64% of girls and 75% of boys), kissing on the lips (30% of girls and 50% of boys), and petting (17% of girls and 33% of boys) (BKKBN in Lestari W, 2025). This study aims to determine the effect of health education using animated videos on knowledge about comprehensive sexual self-control in adolescents. This study is a quantitative study with a Quasy-Experimental design with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design approach. The sampling technique used the Total Sampling technique. The population in this study were all students of SMAN 13 Kerinci in 2025, totaling 80 people with a sample of 80 people. This data collection was carried out at SMAN 13 Kerinci, in June-August 2025. Data were analyzed using the Wicoxon test. Based on the results, the average knowledge of comprehensive sexual self-control in adolescents before being given health education was 9.98, while after being given health education the average was 13.98. There is an effect of health education using animated videos on knowledge about comprehensive sexual self-control in adolescents. It is hoped that schools will provide health education regarding comprehensive self-control and sexuality in adolescents through animated video media to increase knowledge related to healthy sexual behavior, so as to prevent unplanned pregnancies that have the potential to cause school dropouts.
Lili Suryani

Child growth during the first two years of life is a critical period that determines health status and human resource quality in the future. One important factor influencing child growth is the diversity of food consumed, especially during the complementary feeding period. Adequate dietary diversity ensures the fulfillment of essential macro and micronutrients needed for optimal growth and development. This study aims to analyze the relationship between dietary diversity and the growth of children aged 6–24 months in the working area of Puskesmas Nanggalo, Padang. This research used a quantitative approach with an analytic observational design using a cross-sectional method. The sample consisted of 60 children aged 6–24 months selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data on dietary diversity were collected through structured interviews with mothers using a 24-hour recall questionnaire and measured using the Minimum Dietary Diversity (MDD) indicator. Child growth data were obtained through anthropometric measurements including weight and length/height according to age standards. Data analysis was conducted using univariate and bivariate analysis with the Chi-Square test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between dietary diversity and child growth with a p-value of 0.012 (p < 0.05). Children who had good dietary diversity tended to have better growth compared to children with low dietary diversity. These findings highlight the importance of improving dietary diversity during the complementary feeding period to support optimal child growth.
Shentya FitrianaRahmatul Ulya

https://ojs.unisbar.ac.id/index.php/nthn/article/view/663

Sarni YatiMimi RosiskaLovitri Lirma

https://ojs.unisbar.ac.id/index.php/nthn/article/view/655

Online game addiction in school-aged children causes community health problems that impact sleep pattern disturbances, decreased social interaction, and the emergence of ineffective coping communities due to violations of family supervision. This study aims to analyze the practice of community killing through the application of token economy based on family social support to reduce online game addiction in children aged 10–12 years. The study used a case study design with a community nursing process approach in five children with a playing duration of 5–8 hours per day before being given the intervention. Data were collected through behavioral observations, family interviews, and recording the duration of playing before and after the intervention. The intervention was carried out for six days through the application of token economy to reinforce desired behaviors and reduce undesirable behaviors with predetermined targets combined with play therapy and active family involvement. The results showed a decrease in playing duration from an average of eight hours to three hours per day, accompanied by improved sleep patterns and increased adaptive behavior that persisted after the intervention was stopped. It was concluded that family involvement in the behavioral reinforcement system through token economy is effective in forming more adaptive coping. This intervention is recommended for community nurses and needs to be developed in studies with larger samples and longer duration.
Ulfa Dwi AsriantiBachtiar SafrudinKartika Setia PurdaniBurhanto Burhanto
